About the Artist
A decade ago my passion to live out west and paint wildlife led me to leave my lifelong home in Maryland and relocate to Livingston, Montana. Living in Montana provided me the opportunity to view abundant wildlife in their natural surroundings and my work reflected that observation.
My work focused on realistic representation, capturing the expressions and textures of my subjects.
Portraits of the WILD is my new series where wildlife are removed from their natural environment and placed into the world of humans. Their expressions remain, but the animals now interact with a world they must learn to deal with. Take what you will from this fanciful integration of species.
